Caper projects
I worked for Caper when they were a series B startup right up to their acquisition by Instacart. I like to believe some of my impact there, especially on their branding, help them get acquired. Some of my product work there included includes UI UX design for the interface, product strategy, and holistic design for a computer-vision enabled self checkout machines for convenience and grocery stores.
The device I was designing for was a computer vision self checkout machine with an android interface. No barcode scanning needed. You just put your items on the platform and the cameras did all the work. We had a partnership with Circle K when I was working on the UI, and so many of our machines were at their gas-stations being used by hundreds of people each day.
Checkout speed optimization
Improvements to the UI UX and optimization of the userflow for faster transactions using the CV self checkout machine.
Image Upload and Training App
Conceptualization and end-to-end design of a customer-facing application to image collect items in a convience store to be regognizable by our CV-enabled checkout machine.
Checking Shopper ID for Restricted Items
Optimized userflow for the notification of staff to check ID as well as the enabling /disabling of purchase of alcohol and other age restricted items for our CV enabled self checkout machine.
Branding Caper
Brand development, logo design, colors, typography, and style-guide design for Caper. I also helped them apply the branding to their pitch deck for the funding round that got them aquired by Instacart.
